CHESTER'S perfect start to the National League North campaign came to an end in cruel fashion at Spennymoor.

Defender Danny Livesey added another goal to his tally to give Chester a lead, which was cancelled out by Glen Taylor's free-kick.

And in the final minute of normal time, Spennymoor scrambled what proved to be the winner, the last touch possibly coming off Chester defender Simon Grand.

"We've got to find ways of taking the minimum of a point," said joint Blues boss Anthony Johnson. "People will go on about the north east hoodoo, but in reality there shouldn't be one after today. That should have been put to bed.
