Chester have signed goalkeeper Louis Gray on loan from League Two side Carlisle United.

The 24-year-old stopper arrives at the 1885 Arena for an initial 28-day loan deal – subject to FA and National League approval.

Gray started his career at Wrexham, before being signed by Premier League side Everton back in 2015.

He featured for the Toffees in their Checkatrade Trophy games against Notts County and Mansfield Town in the group stages of the competition during the 2017/18 season.

Following the expiration of his contract at Goodison Park he joined up with Carlisle back in 2018.

Gray could be in contention for Chester's National League North clash with Gateshead on Saturday.
