In-form Chester have received a boost to their their promotion hopes after George Glendon agreed to extend his spell at the club.
The 24-year-old central midfielder arrived at the Deva last month on a short-term deal following his release from League Two side Carlisle United.
Former Manchester City youth skipper Glendon has impressed in his brief stint with Chester, playing four games in the heart of midfield alongside Scott Burton.
Glendon had attracted interest from Football League clubs but has now agreed a deal which will keep him at the Blues for the next few months.
Delighted Chester joint-manager Anthony Johnson said: “After having a number of offers of clubs higher up the pyramid, George has decided that his immediate future lies at Chester.
“Even in the small amount of time he’s been here you can see the impact he’s had on the group. For us to tie down the calibre of player George is shows that he believes in what we’re doing.”
