CHESTER FC has confirmed three pre-season friendlies as the Blues look to go into the forthcoming campaign fully prepared for a promotion push.

The most high profile fixture will feature EFL League Two side Carlisle United who will visit the Swansway Chester Stadium on Tuesday July 16 at 7.15pm.

Manager Stephen Presley's men will be looking to improve on last season's 11th placed finish in League Two with the club recently confirming that assistant manager Tommy Wright and first team coach Paul Murray have left the club.

A week later, Chester FC will travel to Hallmark Security League Premier Division side 1874 Northwich for a second pre-season fixture on Tuesday July 23 at 7.45pm.

Fan run 1874 finished 10th in the league last season with 56 points from 38 matches. They will be playing at Townfield, the home of Barnton FC.

Chester's third friendly of their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2019-2020 season sees Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s side travel to Shawe View to face Evo-Stik Division One West side Trafford on Saturday July 27 at 3pm.

The Urmston-based side finished 9th last season, with 17 wins from 38 matches.
