CHESTER FC have announced the signing of forward Emmanuel Dieseruvwe on a one-month loan deal from Salford City.

The 23-year-old striker won the National League North title last season under Blues' joint managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley, and has scored three goals in 26 games for the Ammies.

Leeds-born Dieseruvwe, who started his career at Sheffield Wednesday, arrived at Salford from Kidderminster Harriers back in May 2017, and has Football League experience with Fleetwood Town, Chesterfield and Mansfield Town.

Speaking to ChesterFC.com on the signing, joint manager Anthony Johnson said: "Myself and Bernard are delighted to bring him in for a month to help ease the pressure on Anthony (Dudley) and Deane (Smalley).

“Mani won the league last season so has the requisite experience that we’re looking for.

“We can’t thank Salford City enough for helping us with this deal.”

Chester return to league action on Saturday with a home game against Alfreton. Kick off 3pm.
