LEE FOWLER says the injury suffered by youngster Harley Brindley-Peagram isn't an ACL one.
Teenager Brindley-Peagram suffered a late knee injury in the 4-1 defeat at Haverfordwest County and Flint Town United boss Lee Fowler was, at the time, concerned it could have been an ACL issue.
Giving an update, Fowler said: "Harley has dislocated his knee.
"It's the best news we could have had within the horrible injury for Harley and us as a club."
Fowler is busy preparing the Silkmen for tomorrow's testing trip to league leaders Penybont.
Rhys Griffiths' side have lost just once in 15 matches this season and they can boast a four-point lead over defending champions The New Saints.
"We knew these games versus Haverfordwest and Penybont were tough, as every game is, but I'm not changing the way we will go about our business," stressed Fowler.
"This started last season. The club now has identity in terms of pathways.
"An identity on the pitch and an entertaining style of play.
"That's been set throughout the whole club, which is great to see."
Fowler will want to see his players winning their individual battles tomorrow, having failed to achieve this in their loss to Haverfordwest.
He told S4C's Sgorio: "The lads really need to understand that football is about 11 v 11.
"Man versus man and, first and foremost, before how you play and patterns and all this nonsense, it's about who wants it the most.
"That's tackling, that's heading, that's tracking runners.
"That's running your man the other way and it's important that they understand that.
"Yes, we want them to be brave, but they've also got to do their job."
The battle to finish inside the top-six come the mid-season split looks likely to go right down to the wire.
Demonstrating how tight the situation is at present, the gap between fourth-placed Cardiff Met and Newtown, situated in ninth, is just five points.
Met will be looking to make home advantage count tomorrow when they entertain Bala Town, who are in seventh spot.
Caernarfon Town, who occupy sixth place, head to rejuvenated Briton Ferry Llansawel, who thrashed Aberystwyth Town 4-0 last time out.
Aber, who are at the foot of the table, will look to bounce back this evening at home to Newtown.
Just three days after their latest European exploits, The New Saints are in action on Sunday at home to Haverfordwest.
