CONNAH’S QUAY TOWN were the comeback kings in the Ardal North West League.
Cam Morris and James Lloyd had put visitors NFA 2-0 up at half-time in the battle of the second and third-placed teams.
But whatever Quay boss Gavin Parry said in the dressing room worked wonders as ex-Wrexham and Chester striker Jamie Reed (pictured above) scored twice and top scorer Pascal Gomez hit the winner.
Town are two points behind leaders Porthmadog for whom Danny Brookwell bagged both in a 2-1 win over Rhyl 1879.
Corwen’s great run continued as they edged out Trearddur Bay 4-3. Oliver Crimp, captain Scott Evans, Tom Williams and Calyn Spencer got the goals.
Holyhead Hotspur beat St Asaph City 2-0 and that’s also how it finished at Nantlle Vale where visitors Llangefni Town took the points.
Pwllheli and Conwy Borough celebrated away wins at Llannefydd and Menai Bridge Tigers respectively while Llanrwst United edged past Y Felinheli 3-2.
The derby clash in the North East League ended all square.
Llangollen Town went ahead in the fifth minute through Ben Realey but Tom Smith levelled before the break for Cefn Albion. Smith had the chance to win it from the spot but missed his 77th minute spot kick.
Penycae are still in the top five despite drawing 2-2 at home to Radnor Valley. Captain Zac Davies and Thomas Edwards got the goals for Penycae.
The draw theme continued at Rhos Aelwyd for whom Ryan Jenkins netted in a 1-1 draw with Llanfair United.
Brickfield Rangers were battered 4-0 at Llanuwchllyn for whom Meilir Williams (2), Sam Evans and Dan Dascalu scored.
Chirk AAA lost 2-0 at home to Dolgellau while bottom-of-the table Llansantffraid returned from Llanidloes Town with a shock 1-0 win, Thomas Williams their match-winner.
At the other end of the table, leaders Bow Street were surprisingly beaten 2-0 at Builth Wells while second-placed Kerry went down 2-1 at Llandrindod Wells. Captain Shaun Nicholls scored both for Wells.
Swansea University sealed a third round tie with Llanuwchllyn in the Welsh Cup after beating Aber Valley 2-0 in their re-arranged tie.
