WREXHAM marked the club's 160th anniversary by playing out a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town at The Racecourse.
Phil Parkinson's side were far from their best on a tough night as the 100 per cent home record ended after winning the opening five league games in north Wales but the Reds still managed to pick up a point.
There wasn't another Racecourse victory to celebrate against a Huddersfield side who were relegated from the Championship last season and recently played in the Premier League but the decent start to the campaign goes on.
With 24 points from 12 games, Wrexham remain second in the table heading into Saturday's trip to Charlton Athletic.
Parkinson named the same side that started Saturday's hard-fought 1-0 win at Rotherham which continued the excellent start to the season.
Wrexham went straight at Huddersfield and following a flowing move in the third minute, Andy Cannon's volley from James McClean's corner was blocked by a defender.
Both sides cancelled each other out but Wrexham had the first chance when Barnett capitalised on a weak headed clearance by a defender and ran at goal past a defender but goalkeeper Jacob Chapman made a superb save to keep out the wing-back's low drive.
That gave Wrexham a lift and a decent spell which saw Dan Scarr put a header over the bar from Tom O'Connor's corner.
Bojan Radulovic headed wide from Ollie Turton's cross with a rare opportunity for Huddersfield but it remained goalless at the break.
The Terriers had the first chance of the second period when substitute Danny Ward's effort was comfortably saved by Reds' keeper Arthur Okonkwo.
Ben Wiles also fired over for Town while Wrexham countered when Okonkwo did well to pick out Mullin with a long clearance but the striker shot wide when he closed in on goal.
Huddersfield had been the better side in the second half but Wrexham had a sight of goal when Dan Scarr headed Elliot Lee's free-kick back into the danger-zone and Mickel Miller managed to clear his lines.
Radulovic fired wide for Huddersfield and Okonkwo made a brave save at the feet of the striker following sloppy play by the Reds.
There was a late chance for Wrexham when Paul Mullin headed over from Barnett's cross but it ended honours even in the end.
