LLAY WELFARE boss Phil Hudson was looking for a win to pull his side out of the bottom-three.
They didn’t gain victory at home to Penrhyncoch, but the point Llay picked up from a 1-1 draw was enough to see them climb off the bottom.
Dean Bryan supplied the assist as Mitchell Williams’ fourth minute strike gave Llay the lead.
Back came Penrhyncoch and Daniel Owen levelled midway through the first half.
A dramatic injury time strike ensured Buckley Town picked up a point from their 3-3 draw at home to Llandudno.
Rhys Edwards’ stoppage-time leveller made sure of a point for Asa Hamilton’s charges, with all of the goals coming in a hectic second half.
Connor Littler’s 55th minute opener was cancelled out by Mark Cadwallader three minutes later. Adam Smith regained the lead for the hosts within a minute, however strikes from Adam Stephens and Harvey Bennett turned things in favour of Llandudno prior to Edwards’ late, late goal.
Gresford Athletic suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat during their trip to Bangor 1876.
Dave Forbes was a threat early on, with his header being saved by Bangor goalkeeper Carl Jones, while an overhead effort went over the target.
After Gresford had penalty shouts turned down for a foul on Haci Ozlu, Bangor claimed the lead after half-an-hour with a goal from Mason Blackwell-Jones.
Corrig McGonigle had an effort ruled out as Bangor sought a second goal.
Flint Mountain returned to winning ways with their 5-1 verdict at Prestatyn Town, who slipped to the foot of the standings.
Andy Brown netted twice for Aden Shannon’s side, with Rob Hughes, Jack Sconce and Jack Parry also on the scoresheet. Gregory Hall pulled one back for the Seasiders.
Ruthin Town picked up a point from their 1-1 draw with Caersws.
All the goals came in the closing quarter-of-an-hour, with Max McLaughlin giving the visitors the lead.
Gwion Owen grabbed Ruthin’s equaliser in the 85th minute.
