PHIL PARKINSON isn't complaining about lengthy back-to-back away trips in a short space of time and says Wrexham will be raring to go at Stevenage tonight.
The League One clash at The Lamex Stadium comes after the Reds drew 0-0 against Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road on Saturday.
Wrexham, who sit second in the table following the stalemate, are clocking up the miles but Parkinson says two long away trips so close to each other is not an issue.
"We have had that before," said the Reds' boss.
"You have got teams in the Premier League who fly out to Champion's League games and come back to play high profile games at the weekend.
"I don't really buy into it being a punishing schedule.
"We will get the preparation right and go into the game at Stevenage ready for a huge test."
Wrexham are two points behind Birmingham who took over as leaders following their 3-2 come-from-behind win at home to Peterborough.
Parkinson is pleased with the way that the Reds, back in the third tier after clinching two promotions in a row, have started the season.
"It is a great point for us at Orient," said Parkinson. "We have played eight games and lost one. That is outstanding from the lads.
"They have given us a lot and we will keep doing that. We will take this positive point into Stevenage.
"There is no easy game. Even in the National League when we were going away from home on a Saturday-Tuesday, we were talking about the challenge and now we have jumped two divisions quickly, it is what we have worked so hard to be in these games."
Parkinson was dealt a blow at the weekend after in-form centre-back Max Cleworth suffered an ankle ligaments injury.
Hoping Cleworth is not facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, the Reds' boss has got options with Dan Scarr, Lewis Brunt and Will Boyle competing to replace the 22-year-old at Stevenage who sit 11th in the standings.
