PHIL Parkinson believes it is the small details that will make all the difference in League One this season.
Seven games into the season, Wrexham sit top of the table following their back-to-back promotions into the third tier of English football.
The Reds returned to winning ways last time out with a 2-1 win over Crawley Town at the SToK Cae Ras, following their first defeat of the season against Birmingham City the week before.
Parkinson's side travel to face Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road this weekend, hoping to continue their fine start to the campaign.
When asked whether the league was shaping up as he expected before the start of the season, Parkinson said that the strength of quality in sides is what they'd prepared for.
The Reds boss said: "We’re learning all the time about the teams and the individuals we’re coming up against, obviously I’ve been in this division a lot, but not for a few years so there are players that we haven’t come up against so it’s assessing them and the quality levels.
"But I think in terms of the strength of the division it’s more or less what we expected in terms of the depth of quality there’s a lot of sides, if you look at (Leyton) Orient for instance, finished above mid table last season and there challenge this summer would’ve been ‘can we get into that play off zone’.
"I think there’s a lot of sides who are really backing themselves to be in the mix and that makes it a really exciting division.
"Every game is really nip and tuck, they’re really tough games, but that was the same in League 2 and the National League, everybody is preparing as professionally as we are, they’re looking at us as we’re looking at them and the information we give the lads and how they take that detail in the games can often determine the results.
"If you look at Saturday, Crawley will be disappointed that we scored a goal, Elliot Lee was unmarked and then there small player Ronan Darcy was marking Max round the back from the free kick.
"Sometimes when you’re not playing well, the details can win you games of football and that’s what got us over the line last week and hopefully we can add to that and be better this Saturday."
