CHESTER are looking to take another step towards reaching the first round proper of the FA Cup tomorrow.
Following on from their 3-0 win at home to Hebburn Town in the previous round, the Blues now look forward to their trip to Stockton Town in the third qualifying round of the competition.
Stockton, who are currently mid-table in the Northern Premier Division, have already accounted for a National League North side in this season’s competition, with their 3-2 home success over Marine in the last round.
Stressing the importance of the encounter, boss Calum McIntyre told Chester FC TV: “The FA Cup’s really important to our club and, therefore, we make it really important to us as individuals and us as a group.
“I hope we’re able to prepare the way that we want to.
“We need to do a little bit of patching up and I said that in the summer.
“We are going to have a small group, but you’re in that position now where you’re two wins from the first round proper.
“But I expect a real tough test.
“Our record up in the North East has been pretty good in recent years and we’ll relish that challenge.”
