JACK MARRIOTT enjoyed the first away win of the season which continued the unbeaten start but it's all eyes on Shrewsbury Town for the Wrexham striker.

Phil Parkinson's side beat Peterborough United 2-0 at London Road on Saturday to make it 10 points from the opening four games, leaving the Reds second in League One.

The Reds produced a superb performance but Marriott, who opened the scoring against his former club to make it two goals for the campaign, quickly turned his attention to the Shrews who visit The Racecourse for Saturday's cross-border derby.

"It was a good performance and we deserved to win against Peterborough," said Marriott.

"It has been really good start to the season but the next game is always the biggest.

"We have got to keep that mentality, keep working hard and keep putting the performances in, and we will get the results."

Marriott joined Wrexham from Fleetwood Town on deadline day in the winter transfer window, just weeks after the Reds won 1-0 at Shrewsbury in the FA Cup third round.

He wasn't with the club then but the frontman knows what another derby victory would mean to supporters.

"I am aware of the rivalry!" added Marriott. "We are looking forward to the game.

"Back at home, it should be a great occasion and we are just going to keep doing what we are doing."
