WILL it be Darbey day once more in the pool at the Paris Paralympics?
Nofio Clwyd swimming club member Rhys Darbey already has one gold at the Games and he is on the hunt for another medal today.
Darbey, from Connah’s Quay, was a member of the gold medal-winning ParalympicsGB team in the S14 mixed 4x100m freestyle and he’s now ready for the men’s SM 200m individual medley, with his heat taking place this morning and the final is scheduled for the evening session.
Darbey is expected to be in the mix for a medal, having brilliantly claimed silver at last summer’s World Para Swimming Championships, achieving a personal best time of 2-10.9.
