WREXHAM striker Jake Bickerstaff has joined National League outfit Altrincham on loan until January 13, 2025.
The 22-year-old, under contract at The Racecourse until the end of the 2025-26 season, has not featured in the Reds' opening four league and cup games this term.
Bickerstaff made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Reds in 2023-24, bagging his first two Football League goals against Walsall and Swindon Town, and he finished the campaign on loan at Accrington Stanley where he found the back of the net once.
He came through the ranks at The Racecourse and scored on his debut for the senior side when he struck in the Scottish Challenge Cup victory against Ayr United in 2019 before netting three times in two FA Trophy appearances in 2022-23, meaning he has a total of six goals in his Wrexham career.
A National League Youth Alliance Division H champion, alongside current Wrexham team-mate Max Cleworth, Bickerstaff has also enjoyed loan spells with Caernarfon Town and Nantwich Town.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson told the official club website: “It’s a good move for Jake. I’m pleased for him, because it’s what he needs at this stage in his career.
“It’s also a good move for Altrincham, because he’s a good player but his chances were going to be limited here – he’s over the age of 21, so he wouldn’t have been in our 22-man squad. We’ll be keeping a close eye on him.”
