CARL FORSTER hasn’t yet finished his summer business as North Wales Crusaders continue their preparations for the 2025 season.
The Colwyn Bay-based club have one match left to conclude the 2024 campaign, with Cornwall heading to North Wales this Sunday.
However, thoughts have already shifted towards next season and Forster says more new signings are “to be announced in due course”.
During a busy summer, Crusaders, who have missed out on the play-offs, have confirmed the signings of Lloyd Roby and Sam Wilde from Championship Widnes Vikings for next season.
Head coach Forster told CruCast: “Just using Sam as an example and we’ve got young back-rowers in the group.
“They’ll become better players just by training with him and playing with him and he’ll have these high standards, and we’re trying to bring in good people, good players that will bring that standard through the roof and then, obviously, lads have got to follow it.
“If they want to be a part of it, they’ve got to follow it.
“We’re really excited about what’s to come and, trust me, there’s some more real good signings due to be announced in due course.”
Attention now turns to the club's Big Afternoon Out as Crusaders take to the field for the final time in 2024 at Colwyn Bay's Stadiwm CSM on Sunday.
Cornwall are the final opponents of the season for Forster's side and free tickets for the afternoon are available from Crusaders' website.
