CARL FORSTER is still looking to strengthen the North Wales Crusaders team with dual-registration players.
Crusaders last week confirmed the signing of Liam Cooper on an initial one-month-loan deal from Championship side Swinton Lions and he was part of the squad which defeated Workington Town 34-32 in League One action on Sunday.
On further additions, head coach Forster told CruCast: “We’re in talks, obviously. Ben Lane’s been with us a number of weeks now.
“So, I imagine Ben will stay with us to fill the full back void.
“But, we’re actively seeking in the market at the minute. Obviously, we’ve brought Ollie Davies in before the Oldham game and we’re still looking.
“Although we did have depth in the off-season, lads obviously come and go. That’s what happens when lads are on pay-as-you-play contracts.
“If they’re not playing, then they’re not getting paid. So, at the end of the day, these lads just want to play rugby.
“So, we’re not as deep as we’d like to be, but that’s just the nature of the beast that we’re in and, obviously, we are in the market now looking for more out-of-contract players, etc, and if they’ll improve the team, we’ll do what we can to bring them in.”
