CARL FORSTER is looking forward to having Rob Massam and Pat Ah Van in the same North Wales Crusaders line-up.
Massam (pictured above) has decided to reverse his decision to retire from the sport and is back with the Crusaders for six League One matches this season.
Ah Van is also another exciting Cru player and he returned to action against Workington yesterday just weeks after fracturing cheekbone in the narrow 25-24 loss to Oldham.
Head coach Forster told CruCast: “Similar type of players. Experienced, they get you on the front foot of resets and I think it was a couple of years ago now when they were both on opposite wings.
“It was me playing against Crusaders at the time. It was ridiculously hard to stop.
“So, it’s a little bit unfortunate we won’t see them both out on the field together in the near future.
“But, on the flip-side of that, I think Jack Holmes has been outstanding as well on the other side.
“So, it’s a good replacement for Pat and I’m hoping Rob will hit the ground running and he’ll just fit back in like he was never away.”
