ON-LOAN Connah’s Quay Nomads starlet Toby Gallagher-Keenan showed his prowess with a four-goal blast to send Gresford Athletic through to the North East Wales FA Cup semi-final.

The teenager starred in an 8-2 win over Ruabon Rovers at Queensway on Wednesday night.

Sam Spridgeon, Charlie Mann, Dom Deacon and Tom Jenkins also scored for Athletic, who will face holders Ruthin Town in the semi-finals next month.

Rovers hit back back through Dan Kebell and Andrew Swarbrick and they are back on the cup scene tomorrow in the Two Counties Cup.

Rovers, who made it through to the Horace Wynne Cup semi-finals a week ago, travel to free-scoring Acton in another last-four encounter.

The Wrexham side have hit 100 league goals this season but Rovers will be buoyed by their penalty shoot-out success over Penyffordd Lions.

Overton Recreational make the long trip to Gronant in tomorrow’s other semi-final.

There are also two cracking cup semi-finals in the Mike Beech Memorial Trophy tomorrow.
