PHIL PARKINSON wants Wrexham to make it a 4G pitch hat-trick against Bromley tomorrow.

The Reds have won their previous two matches on the artificial playing surface this season, beating Dorking Wanderers 5-0 last September before edging past Maidstone United 3-2 in January.

It’s another huge weekend in the race for the National League title, with Wrexham one point ahead of Notts County with a game in hand.

Parkinson knows Bromley, who are 10th but still in contention for a play-off spot, will be tricky opponents but the Reds’ boss wants to pass another big test at Hayes Lane in the quest for automatic promotion.

“We have gone down to these places and there’s no excuses,” said Parkinson.

“We’ve won twice on the pitch this season and it’s an opportunity to make it three out of three.

“Bromley are obviously a decent side, they are a team who expect to be in and around the play-off picture.

“They have drifted a little bit out of it but they will still be thinking they have got a great chance.

“It will be another good crowd down there, we will take a lot of supporters and it will be a good atmosphere.

“We are just looking to perform to the best of our ability.”

Wrexham have nine matches remaining and after taking 91 points from the first 37 outings, Parkinson wants to keep the tally ticking over as the race for a return to the Football League hots up.

“We have to be pleased with the points per game ratio at this stage,” he said.

“Hopefully we can add to that at the weekend.”

Wrexham ground out a 1-0 home win against Southend last Saturday, four days after turning on the style to beat Dagenham 4-0 at Victoria Road.

They were contrasting fixtures but both victories got the thumbs up from Parkinson.

"The supporters are living every moment with us and they could sense it was a tough day against Southend," said the Reds' boss.

"A lot of passes went astray second half and we know we could have done a bit better in our selection of pass at times but it was a day about the determination and that pleases me just as much as the fantastic performance at Dagenham."
