WREXHAM have not lost in the National League since October but Ryan Barnett says the high standards at The Racecourse means it is disappointing when the title-chasing Reds have to settle for draws rather than wins.

Phil Parkinson's men were held to a 2-2 stalemate by Maidenhead who scored an 89th minute equaliser on Saturday.

That extended the unbeaten run in the National League to 23 matches and keeps Wrexham top of the table, one point ahead of Notts County with a game in hand.

Although a draw was far from the end of the world in the quest for automatic promotion - County also finished all-square at Bromley - Barnett is looking to get back on track by picking up victory against Dagenham and Redbridge at Victoria Road tonight.

"We are frustrated with a point but it is a good we have got a game on Tuesday because we can try and bounce back from it," said the wing-back.

"Try and put it right, try and get three points.

"It says something about this team when we are coming off the pitch really disappointed with a draw.

"That is the standard this team and staff have set where we are 23 games unbeaten but disappointed to draw.

"It helps that Notts County have drawn as well but we can only focus on ourselves and get as many points as we can,.

"If we can keep that unbeaten run going, hopefully we win the title."

Mid-table Maidenhead gave a good account of themselves and Barnett says teams are raising their game when Wrexham are in town.

"It is like a cup final for most teams when Wrexham come to play," he said.

"You have got to give 100 per cent because they almost give 110 per cent just because of the hype around the club, the atmosphere and the fans backing the team.

"We just give it our all and try to get as many points on the board."

Dagenham are pushing for a play-off place and Barnett is expecting another difficult encounter.

"Every game is tough, it is a relentless league," he said.

"With Notts County chasing as well, you have got to get points on the board.

"We will go to Dagenham, give 100 per cent and try to get three points."

Barnett has had to wait patiently for his debut since signing for Wrexham from National League rivals Solihull Moors for an undisclosed fee last month.

An unused substitute for home wins against Dorking Wanderers and Chesterfield, the 23-year-old was drafted into the starting XI at Maidenhead after Anthony Forde was ruled out through illness and he was delighted to finally make his Reds' bow.

"I was itching to get on the pitch," said Barnett.

"I had the two games where I had to be patient, I know Fordy has been in really good form and the team as well.

"It was an opportunity that I wanted to take when given and I think I did that.

"I did quite well but I know there is a lot more to offer from myself and the team."
