PHIL PARKINSON believes his players will be buoyed by another away victory as Wrexham aim to get back to doing what they do best at The Racecourse.

The Reds beat Aldershot Town 4-3 at The Recreation Ground on Saturday to register a sixth National League away win in a row.

Second placed Wrexham continue the title challenge at home to second bottom Scunthorpe United this evening.

Last Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Woking ended the 100 per cent home record - Wrexham won their first 13 league games at their north Wales stadium - but Parkinson feels his side will be raring to go when they face the Iron tonight.

"That is six league away wins on the bounce which is a really good achievement from the lads," said Parkinson.

"As a player, I used to love getting those wins away from home and then running out in front of your home fans. There is no better feeling.

"We had a bit of a knock there on Tuesday, we were a bit disjointed.

"There are improvements to be made with the three goals we conceded at Aldershot but some of the football we played was of a high level.

"Like me, the supporters will be delighted to see us back to winning ways and we will be ready for Scunthorpe."

Wrexham are five points behind leaders Notts County with two games in the hand.

The Reds have 15 matches remaining and centre-back Max Cleworth says being consistent during the run-in is key to pipping the Magpies to automatic promotion.

"They are going to drop points and we are going to drop points," said the defender.

"It is all about trying to be as consistent as possible and picking up as many points as we can over the next 15 games, and see where that takes us.

"Hopefully we get three points against Scunthorpe."
