PHIL PARKINSON wants a five-star performance from his side against Altrincham tomorrow.

Wrexham head to Moss Lane on the back of four successive away victories in the National League, with Eastleigh (2-0), Solihull Moors (2-1), Maidstone (3-2) and Gateshead (3-0) all accounted for by the Reds on their travels.

Second placed Wrexham are three points behind title rivals Notts County with two games in hand and Parkinson wants more away-day joy against mid-table Altrincham.

“We know Altrincham are a decent team and I saw them against Boreham Wood at the weekend,” said the Reds’ boss.

“I was so pleased with the way we performed at Maidstone and Gateshead, and we want to take that mentality with us to Altrincham.

“It is another important game for us.

“We are on a good run away from home and we are looking to continue that at the weekend.”

Wrexham resume the automatic promotion challenge after drawing 3-3 with Championship high-fliers Sheffield United in Sunday’s FA Cup fourth round tie.

The replay takes place at Bramall Lane on Tuesday, with the winners at home to Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur in the fifth round, but the Altrincham clash has Parkinson’s full attention.

“The replay is probably a game neither team wanted because of promotion but it is what it is," he added.

“It is a chance to go to a fantastic stadium and go and acquit ourselves well like we did on Sunday.

“We will concentrate on Altrincham first and we will deal with that when it comes along.”
