PAUL MULLIN doesn't expect the National League title to be handed to Wrexham and the striker says there will be no let-up from the players in a bid to realise the promotion dream.

Phil Parkinson's side go into tomorrow's clash against Altrincham at Moss Lane sitting second in the table, three points behind Notts County with two games in hand.

The Reds have 19 matches remaining over the final three months of the season and while there is competition for top spot and a place in the Football League via automatic promotion, 28-goal leading scorer Mullin is looking forward to the fight.

"It is going to be a battle to the end," said the striker.

"Notts County are a brilliant side, they have been great all season, and so have ourselves, while Chesterfield and Woking are also close up there.

"Whoever gets promoted will totally earn it because all four teams have been brilliant.

"It is a challenge we are relishing and hopefully we come out on top.

"We have got a great group of players who are really going to give their all from now to the end to try to achieve it, but it is one game at a time."

Wrexham return to league action after drawing 3-3 with Championship high-fliers Sheffield United in Sunday's thrilling FA Cup fourth round showdown.

The replay takes place on Tuesday at Bramall Lane with the winners progressing to a fifth round home tie against Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.

But Reds' captain Luke Young is looking no further than the Altrincham clash, which kicks off at 5.20pm and is live on BT Sport, and trying to pick up another win in the title race.

"The most important game is on Saturday," said midfielder Young.

"We have got to go to Altrincham, take the game to them and get three points.

"We have got the advantage with the games in hand and it is down to Notts County to put the pressure on us.

"We have shown we can deal with the pressure."
