PHIL PARKINSON wants Wrexham to pick up where they left off when they continue the title challenge at York City tomorrow.

The Reds extended the unbeaten run to 12 games with last Saturday's 4-1 FA Cup second round win against Farnborough.

The promotion push is the priority and Parkinson's National League tabletoppers hold a one point lead over Notts County.

Wrexham have picked up 46 points from 20 matches and the Reds' boss has urged no let-up from his players going into a first ever clash at York's LNER Community Stadium.

"It's a good fixture for us in terms of new stadium and a big crowd there," said Parkinson.

"We can now concentrate on the league, the cup goes on the backburner because everyone knows the league is the priority.

"The most important thing is your points tally and over the games we have had so far this season, the tally is good.

"We will be looking to extend that at York on Saturday."

York are yet to appoint a replacement after sacking promotion-winning manager John Askey last month but Parkinson is just focussed on his own side.

"York had a good start and they had been on a difficult run prior to John leaving," said the Reds' boss.

"Like every team in the division, they have got their strengths and weaknesses.

"We are just preparing the lads right and going there to try and keep the run going."
