WREXHAM have won every game at The Racecourse and Callum McFadzean is looking to build on the away form over the next two games.

Phil Parkinson’s side have the best home record in the division after winning all 10 National League games this season at their north Wales stadium.

Mirroring that 100 per cent statistic on your travels is a tough task for any team but the Reds still have the fifth best away record in the fifth tier.

Wrexham, who are top of the table, now have two successive away games, with Saturday’s trip to York City followed by the clash at Eastleigh the following weekend.

The Reds are unbeaten in 12 league and cup games, and McFadzean is looking for more away day success.

“We just need to keep that momentum going,” said the 28-year-old.

“That mentality of wanting to win every game.

“We have got a great home record, we just need to keep building on the away record now as well.

“With the brilliant record we have got at home, it is hard to replicate that away from home.

“But the away record is good, we just need to build on it.”

Wrexham return to league action at York after reaching the FA Cup third round with a 4-1 home win against Farnborough.

Paul Mullin opened the scoring early in the second half with his 50th goal for the club and after the National League South side levelled, Elliot Lee put the Reds back ahead.

Mullin went onto complete his hat-trick with two late goals with left wing-back McFadzean providing the assist for both.

“It was a proper FA Cup game but we dug deep and got the goals towards the end,” said McFadzean.

“It was nice to get two assists.

“As a wing-back you needed to be doing both sides of it; obviously the defending duties come first but you have got to get up the pitch and look to make things happen at the other end.”

McFadzean, who joined Wrexham from Crewe Alexandra in the January transfer window, felt he should have scored his first goal in the cup win.

Shortly after Mullin made it 1-0, McFadzean went close with a low drive which fell just wide.

“I had a shot where it went wide and I probably should have scored it,” he said.

“You could see it constantly going away from goal.

“I probably should have put my foot through it instead of trying to side-foot it but I got two assists which was good.

“Hopefully my first goal comes but as long as we are winning, that is the main thing.”

Promotion is the priority but McFadzean is enjoying Wrexham’s run in the FA Cup.

The reward for beating Farnborough is a third round tie away at Championship side Coventry City where older brother Kyle McFadzean plies his trade.

“We go out to win every game,” added McFadzean.

“This group of lads want to win every game regardless of what it is and it is great to play in the FA Cup.”
