WREXHAM have enjoyed home comforts in recent weeks and Phil Parkinson wants more of the same from his side on their travels.

Four successive matches at The Racecourse resulted in three National League wins to maintain the promotion push and a 3-0 victory over Oldham in Sunday's FA Cup tie, with Wrexham rewarded with a home clash against Farnborough in round two.

The second placed Reds are back on the road tonight at lowly Scunthorpe United and there is another away game against Wealdstone on Saturday.

Parkinson says his players are raring to go and looking to match the high standards they have set when they target another win against the Iron.

"The lads trained really well yesterday in difficult weather conditions," said Parkinson.

"The standard was good and we will get our preparation right for Scunthorpe.

"I always feel we are a fit team, we have worked hard on that aspect of the squad.

"We have had a break from the league but by the time Wednesday night comes around, we will ready for another good performance.

"We are just looking to set out our game-plan against Scunthorpe and execute it to the best of our ability.

"That is the aim and it's the aim in every game, both home and away.

"We know what to expect from Scunthorpe but equally, it is about our standards remaining high."

Parkinson is without wing-back Anthony Forde who limped off with a hamstring problem against Oldham.

"Fordey is going to be out for a short while," added the Reds' boss.
