CEFN Druids' boss Neil Ashton is hoping to have a few new faces in his squad before the end of the week.

Ashton has been working hard to bolster his squad prior to the end of the transfer window, with Druids next in Cymru North action at home to Holyhead Hotspur tomorrow.

"We have got two more on board and we're waiting on a couple more.

"We are hoping they will be done by Friday at 5pm.

"It's going to be a busy period for us.

"It's exciting times, busy times, stressful times, depending on how you look at it.

"But if you look at the first three games there's a lot of positives we can take."

There was an impressive display from the youngsters in the 1-0 Welsh League Cup loss to Buckley Town last time out and Aston will be looking to take this into the Holyhead contest.

"I felt as though in the middle and our defensive third we were the better team," said Ashton, who had seven teenagers in the starting XI.

"To deal as well as we did for large parts of the game was really, really pleasing.

"It shows we're not a million miles away."

With a temperature of over 30C forecast for tomorrow, Ashton added: "When you put that in context (32C) it's 37-38 on the artificial surface."

Asked if it will change Druids' tactics, he added: "No, not really.

"Both teams will have to play in the heat.

"I think what it does is makes you realise your bench needs to be as strong as possible.

"We can use five from seven.

"Sometimes it's a help and sometimes it's a hindrance, trying to keep everyone happy.
