WREXHAM have never started the season with two straight wins in the non-league era so Phil Parkinson would love to put the record straight against Yeovil tomorrow.

The Reds kicked off a 15th campaign in the fifth tier with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory at home to Eastleigh last Saturday with playmaker Elliot Lee - one of six summer signings - the hero after coming off the substitutes bench and scoring both goals.

Since their relegation from the Football League in 2008, Wrexham have failed to win both of their opening two matches but Parkinson wants that to change when his side face the Glovers at Huish Park.

"That is a nice little challenge for us at the weekend," said Parkinson.

"I think that is a good little benchmark for us to try and change that around.

"Every single game we go into with the same mindset, to perform at our best and try and get the three points.

"That will be the plan at Yeovil."

Parkinson has to decide whether attacking midfielder Lee, brought in after leaving Championship outfit Luton, starts after making a huge impact following his 63rd introduction against Eastleigh.

Although the Spitfires' time-wasting tactics frustrated Wrexham after they took an early lead, Parkinson always believed his side could turn things around and clinch victory, with super sub Lee netting a brilliant equaliser before bagging the winner five minutes from time.

"We felt we could," added Parkinson.

"At half-time it was a case of talking about how we were going to do it.

"The game was a little bit slow because of the way they played and the heat, and we didn't quite have the crispness in our passing as we did last week.

"But there is always that added bit of pressure the first game of the season at home and in the main I thought we handled it well."
