THEY'RE finally back on the field of play!

Tuesday evening marked the end of a lengthy break for the North Wales Crusaders players as they prepare to return to League 1 action this weekend.

What a game will welcome them back, too, as the Crusaders play host to Keighley Cougars in a top-of-the-table encounter on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides go into the encounter boasting eight wins from eight matches this season, with the Cougars just in top spot on points difference.

Head coach Anthony Murray said the Crusaders players were happy to end their near three-week break by returning to training.

"It was good, we seem to be close to full strength," said Murray.

"It was good, they all trained well.

"They all seemed pleased to be back!"

Crusaders were last in action more than a fortnight ago with their hard-fought 30-16 success at home to Oldham.
