Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has confirmed his side will be ready for penalties, should it come down to it on Sunday evening.

The Reds face Bromley at Wembley in Sunday's FA Trophy showpiece ahead of their play-off campaign getting underway next weekend.

With the knockout nature of what is to come, Parkinson knows that his side will need to be at it for their remaining games if they are to have a successful end to the season.

But the Wrexham boss is looking forward to concentrating on themselves after an intense few weeks.

He said:"The nice thing about Sunday and the play offs for us is, the last few weeks we’ve bene going into games, even if we say don’t worry about what’s happening elsewhere, it’s so difficult not to, with the mumours in the crowd etc.

We don’t have to worry about anything, just concentrate on ourselves.

"It’s knockout football, you’re in football to be involved in these types of games, we’ve worked hard all season to get to Wembley and into the playoffs and now I want to see us play like I know we can play."

Wrexham's last two FA Trophy finals have gone to penalties, a success over Grimsby Town in 2013 and a defeat against North Ferriby United.

Parkinson has confirmed that his side will be practicing their spot-kicks in case they are needed. He added:

"We’re going to practice penalties tomorrow on our pitch, my experience of that and I’ve had quite a bit with Bradford is you’ve got to practice them but you don’t want to overkill it as well."

"There’s simple rules isn’t there, concentrate, pick a spot, don’t change it, don’t try anything clever I think that’s the key message to that.

"We’ve trained this morning and we’ll do all our preparation tomorrow."
