CUP concerns are highlighted for the second weekend running at Mold.

Seven days after the first team lost out in the final of the North Wales Bowl, Mold Seconds go to Newtown Seconds in the semi-finals of the North Wales Shield tomorrow.

Mold head coach Oli Heald said: "After the disappointment of last week, we have an immediate chance for the seconds to get to another final.

"The seconds have been class all year round and going into this semi full of confidence.

"It's hard to know what to expect from Newtown Seconds.

"They beat Wrexham Seconds last week so will be strong, but apart from that we don't know anything about them."

Jack Lawrence will start in the centre for Mold, while the reliable front row of Aaron Jones, Iwan Hughes and Blake Evans will continue.

Potentially, this could be Jones' last game for the club after 20 years of playing senior rugby.

Division Three North leaders Ruthin Seconds await the victors in the final.

In Division One North, Bala head to Llandudno.
