WREXHAM AFC's top scorer praised the 'bouncing' atmosphere at the Racecourse following the club's latest big win.

The Reds impressed greatly once again as they beat Stockport County 3-0 to leapfrog their rivals to the top of the National League table on Sunday (May 8).

Phil Parkinson's side is now leading the pack on goal difference, but Stockport does have a game in hand.

During that massive victory for the club, top scorer Paul Mullin was on target again netting his 30th goal of the season.

Fellow attacker Ollie Palmer bagged a brace as Wrexham moved on up to 88 points for the season.

Mullin took to Twitter after the match to promise Reds supporters that the club 'will go to the end' in search of the title and promotion back to the English Football League (EFL).

Mullin has become a firm favourite at the Racecourse since making the switch from Cambridge United in July of last year.

The Merseyside-born forward scored 32 goals in 46 games to help Cambridge to promotion from EFL League Two last season – winning the Golden Boot and breaking the EFL League Two goalscoring record.

Wrexham now face an anxious wait to see if Stockport County will drop points in either of their last two matches as they themselves prepare for a final day trip to Dagenham and Redbridge on Sunday, May 15.

Stockport County will face Torquay United at home on Wednesday, May 11 and then promotion-chasing Halifax Town Sunday, May 15.
