BOTH Mold and Gresford have enjoyed terrific starts to the season - and the duo meet in the Premier Division tomorrow.

It's Mold who have home advantage, looking to build on last weekend's opening day triumph versus Llay.

Mold skipper George Deniz said: "There's no easy wins, but I'm delighted with the way we started."

The bowlers stood up to the task superbly to keep Llay's total below 200, while openers Usman Butt and Richard Crane took centre stage, with knocks of 82 not out and 60 respectively.

Next up is the home clash with Gresford and Deniz added: "On the day, if we play our best cricket, we compete with most teams in the league.

"I'm expecting a good, competitive game against Gresford."

Tom North is back for Mold after missing the opening day.

Gresford began their campaign with a thumping 107-run success at Mochdre and captain Matt Thompson said: "We couldn't have asked for anything more.

"We batted really sensibly to start with and the middle order pushed things along.

"It was a good pitch in Mochdre.

"They had a bit of a recovery in the middle order, but we stayed disciplined and made them work really hard."

Simon Perry may come into the side tomorrow and looking ahead, Thompson added: "We won't be taking them lightly.

"They had a great start.

"We're looking forward to a good game."

Hawarden Park will be looking to make it two wins out of two in Division One as they head to Buckley, while Halkyn pay a visit to Connah's Quay.

Marchwiel and Wrexham look to get their season up-and-running against a Gwersyllt Park side that won its opening match.

Elsewhere, Denbigh head to Dolgellau, Conwy are at home to Abergele and Llanrwst go to Bangor Seconds.
