PAUL MULLIN says he has never experienced the level of support he has received by Wrexham supporters.

The striker, who arrived at The Racecourse last summer from Cambridge United, has played a key role in the Reds' promotion challenge.

A brace in Saturday's 3-2 victory against Eastleigh, including a stoppage time winner from the penalty spot, took the top scorer's account for the season to 24 goals.

Mullin has become a huge fans' favourite and while he appreciates the brilliant backing, the 27-year-old won't rest on his laurels.

"I am feeling the love for them never mind their love for me," said Mullin.

"I have been loved at other places for what I have done there but nothing like this.

"It is brilliant for me and my family more than anything.

"That comes with doing well and being successful but obviously if it doesn't go too well, it can equally go the other way.

"I just want to keep trying to impress and do well for the fans and the club, and hopefully we keep winning."

Wrexham are challenging for the title with Stockport County and also have an FA Trophy final against Bromley at Wembley to look forward to next month.

Nearly 9,200 supporters saw Wrexham beat Eastleigh to extend the unbeaten run to 13 games and Mullin wants to keep making fans proud of the club.

"I see tweets every day and there are kids walking around the town proud to have a Wrexham shirt on instead of Premier League shirts," added Mullin.

"That is what we want. We want to create a place here where everyone loves being and loves coming to watch.

"This year we are building towards that and hopefully everyone can keep coming like they have and show the support they have because it has been brilliant for us.

"We have just got to keep exciting them."
