WREXHAM booked their place in the FA Trophy final at Wembley by beating Stockport County 2-0 at The Racecourse.

Two injury time goals from leading scorer Paul Mullin secured victory over National League title rivals Stockport in the last four encounter.

Co-chairman Ryan Reynolds was in attendance as the Reds extended their unbeaten run to 11 games.

Manager Phil Parkinson named the same side that started the epic 6-5 victory against Dover the previous weekend, with Jordan Davies passed fit to face the Hatter.

Davies scored twice in added time as the Reds came from 5-2 down to beat the Whites and recovered from a calf problem that has been hampering the midfielder.

Liam Hogan headed off target with an early chance for Stockport who had an even better opportunity to take the lead in the seventh minute but former Reds loan striker Scott Quigley headed wide from Hogan's long ball into the area.

Will Collar also headed straight at goalkeeper Christian Dibble as County continued to get into the better positions but after good work by Davies and Ollie Palmer, Paul Mullin had a shot blocked in the area for Wrexham and shouts for a penalty as turned down.

Stockport keeper Ben Hinchliffe was called into action to turn Mullin's low drive behind for a corner after the striker cut inside from the left, but County finished the first half strongly.

There was a big let-off for Wrexham when Quigley's effort deflected to Antoni Sarcevic who somehow fired over from close range while Dibble stuck out a foot to divert Quigley's shot wide of the target in added time.

Hinchliffe was a comfortable save from Davies' free-kick at the start of the second period while Palmer embarked on a brilliant run past a couple of players into the area but centre-back Ashley Palmer made a superb last-ditch tackle to deny the striker.

A quick break by Wrexham ended with Mullin's shot effort tipped away by Hinchliffe for a corner and the Reds should have taken the lead in the 65th minute.

Mullin latched onto Ryan Johnson's poor back-pass and closed in on goal but the striker fired wide with only Hinchliffe to beat.

Back came Stockport and Sarcevic played in ex-Wrexham captain Connor Jennings who made an excellent save to thwart the striker.

Parkinson made a double substitution on 73 minutes with Dan Jarvis and Liam McAlinden replacing James Jones and Callum McFazean.

Wrexham again came close when Davies' half-volley was heading for the back of the net but Hinchliffe produced an excellent save and the County keeper also did well to push away Reece Hall-Johnson's effort.

But Wrexham scored in the first minute of injury time.

Mullin ran onto a pass and chipped Hinchliffe from outside the area to make it 1-0.

And the Reds made sure of victory in the 94th minute with a second goal, Mullin lifting the ball over the keeper and tapping into an empty net to seal another Wembley appearance.
