PHIL PARKINSON doesn't want Wrexham's high standards to drop against relegated Dover Athletic at The Racecourse tomorrow.

The Reds produced a fantastic performance as they beat Halifax Town 3-1 in Tuesday's top of the table clash.

Wrexham remain in title contention after extending the unbeaten run to nine matches, with eight ending in victory, and Parkinson wants a repeat of that display.

"We know we have got to be right at our best and we will make sure we are," said Parkinson.

"It is all about recovery, organisation and working on bits and pieces on the training ground so we can play with the same intent we did on Tuesday.

"We have got to be ready. It's one of those where 60 per cent is not good enough, 80 per cent won't be good enough, I am expecting us to be right at the races again at the weekend."

Leading scorer Paul Mullin and strike partner Ollie Palmer were both on target and as well as finding the back of the net, Parkinson praised the duo for the way they led from the front.

"I thought they led the charge with their workrate," added Parkinson.

"When you have got two strikers who work as hard as they did, it spreads through the team and they showed that.

"The days of the lazy front player who doesn't do anything but put the ball in the back of the net have gone, you have got to be able to press, work, understand your responsibility out of possession and those two did that very well.

"I look forward to seeing them do it again at the weekend."
