PHIL PARKINSON welcomed having a home draw in the FA Trophy semi-final and expects the clash against National League title rivals Stockport County to be "another terrific occasion".

Wrexham will face the fifth tier leaders at The Racecourse on Saturday April 2, with the winners progressing to the Wembley final where they will meet either Bromley or York City.

Stockport will provide a tricky test but Reds' boss Parkinson, whose in-form side have won their last seven games in all competitions, is looking forward to the tie which should attract another bumper crowd.

"We are pleased that it is a home draw," said Parkinson.

"If you are going to go all the way in any competition, you have got to beat the best teams.

"We have beat Notts County and we have beat Boreham Wood, the next challenge is Stockport and when the game comes we will be ready for that.

"I think it is a really exciting game. Cup competitions are a bit of a bonus for us and Stockport, it will be a good crowd and fantastic atmosphere.

"I am pleased with the draw and we are looking forward to it.

"It will be another terrific occasion and it will be competitive.

"Hopefully we will go into it in a good run of form in the league and take it into that game."
