WREXHAM came from behind to win 2-1 against Notts County at Meadow Lane and reach the FA Trophy semi-finals.

Dan Jarvis and James Jones scored as the Reds registered a seventh straight win in all competitions.

Boss Phil Parkinson made four changes from the side that beat Boreham Wood 4-2 on Tuesday to extend the winning run to six games in all competitions as the Reds' boss elected to rest some players.

Christian Dibble replaced Rob Lainton in goal and Bryce Hosannah came in at right wing-back for Reece Hall-Johnson.

The other two changes were in attack with Jarvis and Jordan Ponticelli taking over from in-form duo Paul Mullin and Oli Palmer.

All four players who were rested were named on the substitutes bench.

County had the first sight of goal in the second minute but Matt Palmer fired over the bar with a long range effort.

Wrexham responded with Hosannah advancing into the area before pulling the ball back for Luke Young whose drive deflected wide off Ponticelli.

Dibble was called into action at the other end as he made a decent save to deny Kairo Mitchell and after County felt they should have been awarded a penalty when Hosannah tackled Palmer in the area, the Reds' keeper got down low to save from Aaron Nemane.

However, the goal County had been threatening came in the 30th minute as two centre-backs combined.

Adam Chicksen sent in a cross and Connor Rawlinson headed past Dibble to make it 1-0.

Parkinson was forced into a change when Hosannah hobbled off and had to be replaced by Hall-Johnson, while Young's corner fell to Ben Tozer who saw two efforts blocked by Joel Taylor.

But Wrexham equalised two minutes before the break.

James Jones cross deflected off Chicksen into the path of Jarvis who smashed the ball home from inside the area.

County had the first chance of the second half but Mitchell's shot from a tight angle was palmed away by Dibble.

Wrexham got into some good areas and Jones was unable to hit the target after Hall-Johnson's effort was blocked in the area while Liam McAlinden saw a low drive deflected behind.

McAlinden was unable to keep another shot down as Wrexham continued their good spell but the Magpies weren't far away after counter attacking with Frank Vincent firing narrowly wide.

Parkinson made a double change after 65 minutes with Palmer and Mullin replacing Ponticelli and Callum McFadzean, but the home side came more into the game and put the pressure on without creating anything in front of goal until Francis struck the crossbar with his rocket shot from outside the area.

But Wrexham scored with one minute to go.

Jones played a one-two with Hall-Johnson and fired home to put Wrexham in the last four of the competition.
