FANS will return to The Racecourse in their thousands this evening but Paul Mullin doesn't take Wrexham's excellent support for granted.

Coronavirus restrictions have been lifted so Phil Parkinson's side can expect another bumper crowd when the Reds, up to sixth in the National League following Saturday's 2-1 victory at Yeovil, continue the promotion challenge against Grimsby Town.

The home game against Folkestone Invicta 10 days ago in the FA Trophy fourth round was played behind closed doors and 13-goal leading scorer Mullin, rested for that 5-1 success, is "buzzing" that supporters will be present once again.

And the striker wants to reward fans for their fantastic backing with another win.

"The fans will be buzzing to be back and I am buzzing for them to be there again," said Mullin.

"I didn't play against Folkestone but there is nothing better than walking out to a full stadium.

"Playing at this level, you don't see it but we get it every week and we have got to be grateful for that.

"We have got to go and give them a performance that gets them off their seats and really backs us again because they do it every week; they go home and away and give us all the support they can.

"We will be buzzing to have them there and hopefully get them three points to go home with."

Parkinson is looking forward to supporters returning for home matches.

"It will be great being back at The Racecourse in front of our supporters," added the Reds boss.

"We have got to get The Racecourse bouncing, play with real energy and tempo about our game and lift the supporters."
