IT'S a case of carry on regardless until further notice as far as Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson is concerned as the on-going coronavirus crisis continues to cause disruption.

Parkinson was already down on numbers because of injury and suspension for Saturday's FA Trophy third round tie against Gloucester City at The Racecourse

Covid 19 isolation meant Parkinson was without more players but he was still able to name a strong side and Wrexham beat the National League North outfit 5-0 to progress to the next round.

There was a doubt that the cup tie would go ahead with the Tigers heading to north Wales with a depleted squad for the same reasons.

The weekend football programme was affected badly by a raft of postponements because of the pandemic and Parkinson praised his players as goals from Jordan Davies (2), Max Cleworth, Kwame Thomas and James Jones secured a place in the fourth round.

"It is very difficult," said Parkinson. "You have seen the amount of games called off today.

"Should this game have been on? It is debatable but we decided to go ahead with it.

"We have now just got to keep our fingers crossed this week; we will get the players tested as we have been doing.

"One or two more came back positive today with their tests, it is so difficult for managers.

"We have got some players still unvaccinated which I think is a problem across the board but that is everyone's personal choice, you can't twist their arm and take them to the vaccination clinical yourself.

"Everybody is dealing with it and we have got to make sure that we deal with it as professionally as we can, and try and make sure the effect is minimum."
