IT'S one down and two to go as Shaun Brisley aims to make it a perfect week for Wrexham.

Phil Parkinson's side began a run of three games in the space of eight days by beating Barnet 3-0 at The Hive on Saturday with Paul Mullin breaking the deadlock before Aaron Hayden and fellow-centre-back Brisley bagged their first goals for the club.

The Reds are back on the road against Maidenhead United at York Road tonight before returning to The Racecourse for Saturday's clash with Torquay United.

The comfortable victory over the Bees was the second victory in a row - Wrexham defeated Marine 2-0 in last Tuesday's FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay - and Brisley wants to continue the winning theme.

"It is always nice to start a three-game week with three points," said Brisley.

"It gives you that stepping stone to go on and have a really good week, and pick up if not maximum points but six or seven points.

"We want to win every game we go into it, whether it is the cup or the league.

"We are here to win games of football - we get paid to win games of football - so we are going for the three points again at Maidenhead.

Wrexham had taken one point from their previous two league games and Jamie Reckord was delighted to pick up a win that he wants the Reds to build on against the Magpies.

"All we wanted to take against Barnet was three points and nothing less," said Reckord.

"We got the win and it could have been four or five, it could have been many.

"We played well but that game is gone now and we move onto the next. All we think about is Maidenhead and getting three points there."
