WREXHAM let slip a half-time lead as Stockport County turned things around to win 2-1 at Edgeley Park.

Paul Mullin put Phil Parkinson's side 1-0 up in the first half and the Reds could have held a bigger advantage at the break after creating more chances.

But Stockport were much improved in the second period and levelled before scoring the winner 10 minutes from time to inflict a second defeat of the season on Wrexham who failed to match their impressive first half display.

Parkinson named the same side that started the 1-0 win against Dagenham and Redbridge the previous weekend.

The Reds' boss made changes to his substitutes bench with defender Bryce Hosannah handed a place in the squad for the first time since signing from Leeds United before the transfer window closed.

Wrexham got off to a dream start as they took the lead with only 50 seconds on the clock.

Mullin raced onto Rob Lainton's long clearance and dinked the ball past County's debutant keeper Ethan Ross.

The Reds continued to make the early running and Liam McAlinden's shot from outside the area deflected just wide for another corner.

Wrexham had a brilliant chance to make it 2-0 in the 24th minute with McAlinden playing in Mullin who was denied by Ross.

The County stopper made another crucial save to keep out Mullin's header from Harry Lennon's long ball and Wrexham were good value for their interval lead.

However, Stockport equalised three minutes into the second half.

Ex-Wrexham midfielder John Rooney sent in a corner and Paddy Madden directed his free header at the far past Lainton.

County were much better after the break and although Ben Tozer went close to putting Wrexham back ahead after meeting Luke Young's delivery, the home side made it 2-1 in the 80th minute.

Wrexham failed to clear the danger and substitute Ryan Rudel scrambled the ball home, and his goal secured three points.
