PHIL PARKINSON expects his side to "come out all guns blazing" when Wrexham aim to bounce back from their first setback of the season.

The Reds' unbeaten start to the National League campaign came to an end on Tuesday as high-flying Grimsby Town won 3-1 at Blundell Park.

It doesn't get an easier for Wrexham who tomorrow welcome leaders Dagenham and Redbridge, with five wins and a draw from their opening six matches, to The Racecourse but Parkinson is looking for a positive reaction.

"We will come out all guns blazing at the weekend and it's another terrific game for us," said Parkinson.

"Dagenham have had a good start and it's a great game to bounce back.

"Obviously the aim was to go into that game still unbeaten ourselves and we haven't managed to do that.

"We need to look at why, analyse the game and get ready for another huge game.

"Heads are down understandably because we have had a decent start to the season.

"This is a knock-back for us but we will come out fighting at the weekend.

"You get knocks in football and you have got to bounce back. You have got to be resilient as a team and we will be."

Captain Luke Young, who set up Jake Hyde for the goal which put Wrexham ahead before Grimsby turned things around, insists the Reds can't dwell on the defeat as they aim to bounce back immediately.

"It doesn't matter how you lose a game; whether you have been better than them and they scored a worldie and win 1-0, losing hurts, said the midfielder.

"But we can't dwell on the loss.

"It's a long season and if we are going to get down and get uptight about one loss, then what are we going to achieve."
