THIS week, for everybody at the club it's all about the build up to Saturday's fixture against Woking.

Last Monday we were delighted to have the stands filled with passionate and eager Reds, excited to return to their beloved Racecourse, but we all knew that a little something was missing.

This week, the Wrexrent stand throws open its turnstiles to welcome fans back into its newly-refurbished arms.

Stadium improvements have been carried out around the ground, but we are most excited for people to see what has been done to the University End.

We are expecting a bumper crowd and hoping that Phil Parkinson and the boys put on a good show against Woking. Let's give them our full-throated backing and raise the roof.

Last Saturday's performance showed a grit and determination that I think we all, as fans, like to see in our teams.

The first 45 minutes left more than a bit to be desired from a Wrexham perspective, but the fight the players showed and the fantastic support of the 700-odd Wrexham fans at Roots Hall meant that we were able to make the trip back to North Wales with a spring in our step.

As this team starts to really gel, I think we are very quickly going to become everybody's least favourite opposition in the league.

The 10 new signings we made this off-season required a great deal of work behind the scenes and there was a palpable sense of time regained when the transfer window closed last Tuesday.

The freeing up of those man-hours from Les Reed and Phil Parkinson allows us to now turn our attention to some of the off-field aspects of our footballing operation.

The addition of Kevin Mulholland as Head Physio spoke of the desire to give the club the best possible support in the medical department and plans are now being laid to improve other areas of the off-field operations.

Supporters can look forward to a number of further appointments as the club looks to improve or supplement its recruitment, analysis and sports science departments. The business of implementing these improvements now begins in earnest.

It was great to see our Women's team start their Adran North league campaign with a 6-0 win over Pwllheli this past weekend.

Rosie Hughes scored her second hat-trick in as many games for the club and it seems as though goals will always be in ready supply when the women's team are in action.

The next home game at Colliers Park is against Connah's Quay Nomads, who won their first game of the season 14-1, on October 24. Let's be honest, there are going to be bags of goals, so get yourselves down to Colliers and enjoy the show!
