WREXHAM AFC has announced that the temporary cap on season ticket sales has now been reached.

The club called a temporary halt to ticket sales due to the unprecedented demand for the new season, with fans queuing round the block to make sure they didn't miss out.

Fans are eager to ensure they have a ringside seat for what promises to be an action-packed and historic season for the club, under new co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Sales were capped at 5200 to make sure that all season ticket holders are guaranteed a seat for the first two games of the season, while work is still under way to revamp the WREXRENT Stand.

The remaining 200 season tickets went on sale online on Saturday morning and were quickly snapped up.

Match-day ticket sales

The club has now updated its website to say that this limit has been reached, but the cap will be lifted ahead of the Woking game on September 11.

An update on match-day ticket sales was also put on the site.

A club spokesperson said: "Further to our previous update, we can now confirm season ticket sales have reached the temporary cap we have put in place.

"This is to ensure, while the WREXRENT Stand is closed for the first two home games of the season, we can allocate spaces to all season ticket holders.

"We look forward to welcoming all season ticket holders back to the Racecourse Ground for the start of the Vanarama National League season.

"Match-day ticket information will be confirmed in due course. As stated here, our normal approach this season will be to offer match-day ticket sales 12 days before each game, with a five-day priority window for members that will apply from the Woking game on September 11, 2021.

"Season tickets will go back on sale and will be valid for the Woking game at a date to be announced in the future. The prices will be reduced accordingly."
