ROB McELHENNEY called Paul Mullin to tell him about his Wrexham FC dream and now he's tweeted to tell the world about his star signing.
Wrexham pulled off one of the transfer coups of the summer to entice Mullin, who scored 32 goals to help Cambridge United to promotion last season, to The Racecourse on a three-year-deal.
Reds co-owner McElhenney, who bought the club with fellow Hollywood star, Ryan Reynolds, played his part in the deal by calling Mullin last week.
"I’ve learned in my business that stars are able to shine because of the people around them," tweeted McElhenney
"@PMullin7 is a star. But based on our conversation I can tell you that he, too, recognizes the vital integrity of a team. What a player. What a TEAM. Let’s go."
And Mullin also tweeted Reynolds, responding to the Canadian actor's message, accompanied by a Wales flag, of: "Hello, Paul Mullin."
Mullin replied on Twitter: "Hi Ryan Thanks for having me. Pleasure to be here."
