CYMRU PREMIER champions Connah’s Quay Nomads have completed the signing of winger Jamie Mullan.

The 33-year-old has spent the last eight years in the Welsh top-flight with The New Saints and previously spent time at Alfreton, Stalybridge and Fleetwood, as well as having a stint at Northwich Victoria under current Nomads boss Andy Morrison.

Mullan has been named in the Cymru Premier Team of the Season on multiple occasions and was also voted as the league’s Player of the Season in the 2017/18 campaign.

Morrison is delighted to land Mullan.

“I’ve worked with Jamie before, so I know what he brings to the table - for me, he is still the best winger in the league," said Morrison.

"Our training methods, sports science and demands will mean, like those before him, he will improve and have many successful years ahead of him.

"It’s difficult to find footballers who improve your squad - at Connah’s Quay, we have shown so many times that an experienced player with a point to prove is a fantastic addition.

"Welcome to the champions Jamie!”

Mullan, who will wear the number seven shirt at The Deeside Stadium, will be available for Nomads’ second UEFA Champions’ League campaign and will join up with the rest of the squad when they return to training on Tuesday June 8.
