TWO old friends have been reunited at The Racecourse and Gold Omotayo saluted Chris Sang after setting him up for his first goal in a Wrexham shirt.

Omotayo and Sang have been brought in to give Reds' boss Dean Keates more attacking options for the play-off challenge with top scorer Kwame Thomas facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after rupturing his left Achilles' and Jordan Ponticelli also out injured..

Selected up front alongside Dior Angus for the last two games, Omotayo opened his Wrexham account in Saturday's 4-0 victory over Woking with substitute Sang supplying the telling pass.

The duo were together at Bury during the 2018-19 season and Omotayo heaped praise on his team-mate.

"If I play then I think we have got a bit more robustness about us," said Omotayo.

"But I need to praise the other lads as well and when Sangy came on, he did brilliant; he gave me an assist.

"I played with him when I was at Bury so we know how each other plays.

"It is not just me, it is about the team and I am obviously delighted with the win."
