WREXHAM beat Woking 4-0 at The Kingfield Stadium to make it two wins in a row and climb up to fifth in the National League.

Four days after thrashing Halifax Town by the same score, Dean Keates' side produced another accomplished away performance to maintain their play-off challenge.

Keates made one change from the side that started the midweek win at Halifax with Reece Hall-Johnson replacing Tyler French in the right wing-back position.

French dropped to the substitutes bench where there was also a place for midfielder Jay Harris who was available after completing a two-game ban, meaning Dan Jarvis was omitted from the squad.

A ninth minute Hall-Johnson cross-shot evaded a packed penalty area before Wrexham had a couple of good chances to take the lead.

Shaun Pearson's header from Luke Young's corner was cleared off the line by Max Kretzschmar while Cards keeper Craig Ross pulled off a superb save to keep out Jamie Reckord's header and Dior Angus failed to hit the target with his follow-up from close range.

Woking respond with Charlie Cooper's swerving effort from outside the area which was saved by Reds' stopper Christian Dibble.

However, Wrexham took the lead in the 37th minute following neat inter-play in the final third which ended with Jordan Davies being tripped in the area by Ben Gerring.

Referee David Richardson had no hesitation in pointing to the spot and Luke Young converted his penalty.

Jack Cook fired over for the Cards at the start of the second half but Wrexham doubled their lead after 52 minutes.

The ball was played out to Reckord whose cross from the left reached Hall-Johnson and he slotted past Ross.

Kretzschmar was unable to keep his shot down from a good position for the hosts but Wrexham scored a third goal in the first minute of injury time.

Chris Sang played in Gold Omotayo who slotted past Ross and Jordan Davies, a hat-trick hero at Halifax, struck right at the death from outside the area to make it 4-0 and complete a good afternoon's work for the Reds.
